BANANA, ALMOND BUTTER, & COCOA NIB SMOOTHIE
When it comes to juices and smoothies, my preference is always 'creamy' fruit smoothies, as opposed to green juices. That's probably not the thing you'd expect a Health Coach to say, but it's the truth. I do drink the green stuff on occasion. Hopefully by now, you can see that VEGETABLES, in general, are my all time favorite thing - which is why I don't make a bigger effort to create green juices. IF you are NOT a veggie fan, green juices and smoothies provide a great alternative for you in getting those much needed nutrients.
So, THIS is my favorite smoothie. It's quite simple and I almost always have all of the ingredients to make it. We have this on occasion for breakfast, mostly as an after school snack, and once, we had it for dinner. ♥
The cocoa nibs used in this smoothie are a super food. IF you're going to do chocolate - try using it in its healthiest form.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Bananas
1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh Almond Butter
1/4 cup organic raw cocoa nibs
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
6 - 8 ice cubes
DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in your blender and blend. You can adjust thickness to your liking by the amount of milk and ice you opt to use.
Careful of the brain freeze!
